A preview of the work I’ve launched while leading Monetization Design at Poe
Poe Monetization
Compute points
We created a Poe currency called compute points. Users use compute points to pay for different AI tasks, such as messages or image generations.
I designed the message info page so users always known exactly why they were charged for a specific message. You can access this page via the overflow menu on any message.
Subscriptions
We launched a series of subscription tiers to attract power users and price-sensitive customers. Each tier offers access to our top models along with a daily or monthly compute point grant.
Variable pricing
We established a variable priced payment system on Poe so the cost charged to users is as close to the actual compute cost as possible.
I designed a system of rate cards and cost receipts so model providers and bot creators can easily explain token rates and expected cost.
Budgeting
We created a budgeting system so users can stay in control of their compute points spending. Users define how much they are willing to spend on a single message. We alert them when the cost of a message is exceeding their budget.
